Intercalated Honours in International Public Health Policy

Course Organiser: Sarah Hill (Global Public Health Unit, School of Social & Political Science)

This intercalated BSc in International Public Health Policy is organised by the Global Public Health Unit in the College of Humanities & Social Sciences, in collaboration with staff from CPHS. The course provides medical students with the opportunity for in depth study of international population health issues, the development of public policy, and the provision of health services.

The programme aims to:

The intercalated year combines epidemiological and social science approaches to policy analysis and evaluation and incorporates modules from the taught MSc programmes in Global Public Health Policy and the Master in Public Health. It builds on the teaching provided in the Health and Society Course and the Social Science and Public Health vertical theme of the MBChB course, and complements clinical teaching on health and disease in individuals.
